What’s included in your Becoming You certification experience:
- An asset-rich, self-paced, 12-module online course, filled with insightful videos, carefully selected readings, and instruction from the faculty.
- An interactive, highly engaged three-day live workshop led by Professor Welch, the methodology’s inventor, which can be attended in-person or virtually. This New York-based event is required for full certification, but candidates can pick from one of three cohort dates to accommodate schedules.
- Full participation in the Becoming You coach community from day one of the program, including monthly all-community calls with Professor Welch.
- Immediate membership in small classmate pods, led by a Becoming You certified Mentor Coach. These virtual sessions are recorded for those who cannot attend live.

The Becoming You Coaching Certification Program combines 12 modules of self-paced coursework with a three-day live or virtual workshop taught by Professor Welch and other faculty members. Each weekly module combines video, readings, podcast episodes, and hands-on practice, supported by a Coaching Field Guide and Coaching Toolkit.
Week 1: Introduction
Becoming You Method and Program Overview.
Weeks 2–6: Values
A deep exploration of human values, in theory and practice. Proprietary instruction in all Becoming You values-excavation exercises and assessments.
Weeks 7–9: Aptitudes
A full examination of the Aptitude-exploration exercises and digital tools deployed in the Becoming You methodology, together with the social science behind cognitive and emotional aptitude analysis.
Weeks 10–12: Economically Viable Interests
Cutting-edge insights into the jobs and careers of the future and powerful instruction in Becoming You’s most transformative client output, The Becoming Blueprint report.
